Leaving and Arriving Early: The Go-West Effect

we started our day by getting up at 3:00a to leave the timeshare by 4:00a so that we can drop off our car at the rental place at 4:30a and take the shuttle to the airport by 5:00a for our flight at 6:30a. yeah… that was just way too early for me to wake up so i just stayed up till we had too leave. i had a good time in florida. i think we all did and we’re looking forward to the time when we can go somewhere again to get away. maybe colorado?

A Park That I Wouldn’t Mind Going Again

we went to one of those $3.99 breakfast buffet places. it was okay… okay it wasn’t all that spectacular. i mean what does one really expect for the value of $3.99 all-you-can-eat setup anyway? anyhow, after that we headed to The Holy Land Experience. i wasn’t expecting much from their ads in the visitor’s guide but we figured it was something we might as well check out since we were already here. i have to say that i was impressed. if any of you happen to be in the orlando area and have a free day, check it out. the production value of the sets are quite professional… almost movie set-like quality.

Lazy Day and Knight

today was a lazy day and we got up late. basically, we just hung out at the time share. my dad worked on his laptop. my mom watched some tv. and i watched some DVDs but eventually dozed off in the afternoon. around 6:00p, we headed to Medieval Times for the evening’s venue and entertainment. my parents has never been and the last time i was there was back in 1991. we sat on the second row from the front and had a pretty good time for what it was.

It’s Like the World Within Walking Distance

we went to Epcot Center today. i think i’ll wait till 10 years or so if i ever decide to go again. its definitely for the “older” crowd though there were some pretty cool attractions like Mission: SPACE, Test Track, and Soarin’. but other than those, the park’s appeal are two-fold: the wonders of the earth (Future World), and the cultures of the earth (World Showcase).

my dad had an opportunity to participate in a comedic rendition of “Romeo and Edna” in the World Showcase portion of Epcot. he was a very good sport. in fact, his ignorance of pop culture made him more funny. i’ll post pictures when i get back home.
