before heading back to Milpitas, my dad took all of us to this new Italian restaraunt for lunch. it was the best place we’ve been to since my dad moved to Springville. one of the earliest restaraunts my family went to was another Italian place… but it wasn’t very Italian. i mean really… what Italian restaraunt serves plain sliced bread as their bread? Porterville doesn’t have many great places to eat but we have found decent Thai and Chinese restaraunts as amazing as that sounds for being in a locale where 90.7% of the population is White.

i slept in the family room’s sofa bed for the first time last night. i’m not a fan of sofa beds but this one was alright. since my aunties will be staying tonight, i figured i’d just start sleeping here so we don’t have to change the sheets in the room i normally sleep in when i come.

my day started when my dad come to the family room and turned on the tv to LLBN for Sabbath School. and since the family room h as a 5.1 surround sound system and the sofa bed was right in the middle of it, it definitely woke me up. the audio system is also piped to speakers in every room of the house so i was able to get ready for the day while listening to Sabbath School. my mom and i drove down to our family’s house in Springville where my dad works during the week. we try to come down at least once a month so my dad doesn’t always have to make the drive to the Milpitas house. also it is a great place to get away from everything and relax because there’s virtually nothing out in Springville. my mom’s sisters will be making the trip out here tomorrow to spend the weekend too. it should be fun.

after arriving in Springville and having a late lunch, my mom and i went into the town of Porterville (which is the next town over) for a supply run of groceries and picked up two bedside lamps for two rooms in the house. on the way back i spotted the sign “Success Valley” that led off the main road. i don’t know why i never noticed this before so i think i’ll take an afternoon drive tomorrow and explore this valley and possibly get some nice pictures.

i’m done with the Peru mission trip pictures! i just realized how silly i have been in this process. yesterday, i completeed the resizing my pictures and cropping for thumbnails. so today i was able to concentrate on the coding pages. this was a much faster method and one i think i’ll practice from here on out.

its 1:04a PST. i’ve FINALLY uploaded pictures of my new 2006 Civic Coupe EX. so to all my friends and familiy… you can check it out. i’ve also completed 5 of 11 gallery pages of the Peru trip. it looks like i’m on schedule.
